Alison Moyet staat in de top 5 best verkopende Britse zangeressen ooit. Alison’s muzikale reis begint in punk bands in het clubcircuit van Canvey Island. Het nummer ‘Only You’ werd een wereldwijde hit voor haar en Vince Clarke (Depeche Mode), het duo beter bekend als Yazoo. Ook als soloartiest kent zij grote successen met ‘Love Resurrection’, ‘All Cried Out’ en ‘Is This Love?’. In 2014 vierde de zangeres haar 30-jarig jubileum als soloartiest.

Alison Moyet en Vince Clarke worden gezien als pioniers in de Britse dance scene. Op haar 23e begint Alison een solocarrière. Met haar debuutalbum ‘Alf’ (1984) scoort zij drie UK Top 10 hits. In 1991 krijgt Alison een Grammy nominatie voor het veelgeprezen album ‘Hoodoo, een collectie van rock roots nummers met een vleugje soul. Het nummer ‘Singles’ komt op de eerste plek van de UK album chart. In 2001 maakt Alison haar acteerdebuut in de hit musical Chicago. In 2008 kwamen Alison Moyet en Vince Clarke weer even bij elkaar om samen Yazoo materiaal ten gehore te brengen dat niet eerder live te horen was. Met haar album ‘the minutes’ (2013) gaat Alison terug naar haar electro roots.
