In 2015 brak AURORA door met haar debuutalbum ‘All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend’. Haar kenmerkende stem, gecombineerd met diepgaande teksten werd met lof ontvangen door zowel critici als fans. Nummers als ‘Runaway’ en ‘Conqueror’ werden al snel hymnes van zelfontdekking, kracht en menselijke verbondenheid.

Sinds haar debuut heeft de alt-popzangeres een indrukwekkende repertoire opgebouwd, waarbij ze haar muzikale grenzen voortdurend verlegt, genres combineert en experimenteert met nieuwe geluiden en stijlen. Haar muziek bevat elementen van folk, pop en elektronische muziek. Deze combinatie is ook terug te horen op een van haar nieuwste single ‘Some Type Of Skin’: “I’ve always been told that I should build some type of skin. I’ve always let myself merge too much with the world, not really knowing where the world ends and I begin. This song screams the muchness of it. And it’s delicious. Being human is really delicious, even though it’s more than any of us can handle. My god it’s a lot.”

Naast haar studiowerk maakt AURORA indruk met haar liveshows, waarbij ze het publiek weet te betoveren met haar aanwezigheid op het podium en haar vermogen om een intieme connectie te creëren met de luisteraars in de zaal.
