On Saturday, March 21, 2026, ten years after his passing, the Johan Cruijff ArenA will be entirely dedicated to the man who rewrote football. A global tribute featuring the biggest live premiere ever: the documentary series CRUIJFF.
From Oscar®️-winning producer James Gay-Rees, the mind behind SENNA, MARADONA, and DRIVE TO SURVIVE, the series opens the doors to unseen archives: never-before-seen footage, exclusive audio tapes in which Cruijff himself tells his life story shortly before his passing, and for the first time ever, in-depth interviews with family members, football legends, and people who knew him up close.
Cruijff shaped the modern Ajax and Barcelona and inspired clubs like Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain. His philosophy lives on in Guardiola’s vision and in the play of generations after him, from Van Basten to Xavi and from Frenkie de Jong to Messi.
Together with over 50,000 fans, we will make history during this once-in-a-lifetime event: a majestic tribute to the man who changed the game and, in doing so, changed the world forever.

Getting there
The Johan Cruijff ArenA is easily accessible from the highway. For some events we also offer parking tickets. This way, you can reserve a spot in advance and not have to stress about it when you get to the venue.
There are two train stations in the area of the Johan Cruijff ArenA: Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA and Duivendrecht. Both stations are within walking distance. Both intercity trains and sprinters with connections from Schiphol, Utrecht Centraal, Ede-Wageningen, Arnhem, Nijmegen, Eindhoven, Gouda and Rotterdam, among others, stop at these stations. If you are travelling from Schiphol, Almere or Amersfoort, take the train to Duivendrecht station. If you are travelling from Amsterdam Central and Utrecht Central, take the train to Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA station.
You can reach the Johan Cruijff ArenA by city and regional bus, and R-net runs between Haarlem station and Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena. Also at night!
By metro, you get off at metro station Bijlmer ArenA, within walking distance of the Johan Cruijff ArenA.
