De afgelopen vijftig jaar heeft Judas Priest wereldwijd vijftig miljoen albums verkocht en zijn ze werelds grootste stadions afgegaan als headliner. Met evoluerende muziek en live optredens zette Judas Priest een unieke identiteit neer die een krachtige invloed heeft op de toekomstige generatie metal bands. In 2022 werden ze opgenomen in de Rock & Roll Hall of Fame en voltooiden ze de uitverkochte wereldtournee ter ere van hun vijftigste jubileum.

Rolling Stone publiceerde in maart van dit jaar 'The 100 Greatest Heavy Metal Songs of All Time' waarbij Judas Priest's ‘Breaking the Law' op de 4e plaats staat. In 2017 zette dit Amerikaanse tijdschrift Priest's 'British Steel' op de 3e plek in 'The 100 Greatest Heavy Metal Metal Albums of All Time'. Op 5 november 2022 kreeg Judas Priest een plek in de Rock and Roll Hall of Fame en ontving de Musical Excellence Award. Meer recent is het opvallende duet ‘Bygones’ dat Rob Halford opnam met Dolly Parton voor haar aanstaande album ‘Rockstar’ waarop ook Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks en Elton John te horen zullen zijn.
