The Boxer Rebellion is een Britse indieband die al meer dan twintig jaar actief is en wereldwijd bekend staat om hun intense, melancholische sound en eigenzinnige muzikale aanpak. Met meeslepende melodieën en een emotionele diepgang weten ze een trouwe fanbase op te bouwen, zowel in het Verenigd Koninkrijk als ver daarbuiten. Ook in Nederland heeft de band een sterke aanhang en krijgen ze regelmatig airplay op radiozenders als NPO Radio 1 en 2, NPO 3FM en KINK.

 De band brak internationaal door met hun baanbrekende status als eerste onafhankelijke band die de Billboard Top 100 bereikte met een volledig digitale release. Albums als Union, The Cold Still en vooral Promises, met daarop de grote hit Diamonds, hebben hun reputatie als meesterlijke songwriters alleen maar versterkt. Live krijgt hun muziek nog een extra lading, wat hen een geliefde naam maakt op podia wereldwijd.
