Multi-instrumentalist, geluidsfetisjist, singer-songwriter, allround creatieveling; Andrew Bird wordt alsmaar populairder. De Amerikaan heeft al meerdere malen in Nederland opgetreden. Andrew Bird kan je een paradijsvogel noemen: iemand die de afgelopen twintig jaar gestaag een onnavolgbaar eigen geluid ontwikkelde met invloeden uit jazz, blues, indie-rock en klassiek. Een eenmansorkest en muzikale alleseter pur sang, met twee vaste elementen: zijn viool (die hij al vanaf zijn vierde bespeelt) en zijn karakteristieke fluiten (waarmee hij veel nummers begint of eindigt).
