Over

Saxon wordt vaak in één adem met Manowar en Black Sabbath genoemd. De Britse rockband bestaat al bijna vier decennia en weet als geen ander hoe je een rockshow neerzet. Frontman en oprichter Biff Byford en zijn maten zijn de personificatie zijn van het begrip ‘heavy metal’. De Britse metal band werd in 1976 opgericht en stamt uit de New Wave Of British Heavy Metal stroming. Een periode waarin de Britse metalscene opleefde met baanbrekende acts. Pas in 1979 verschijnt het titelloze debuutalbum. Saxon is al snel een begrip in de metalscene en na de release van het legendarische album ‘Wheels Of Steel’ zet de band zich definitief op de kaart. Met hun album Sacrifice (2013), bewijzen de rockers dat het hen nog steeds niet ontbreekt aan inspiratie en energie.
