Tedeschi Trucks Band - zoals de L.A. Times ze beschreef “A Deeply Skilled Groove Machine”.
Voor hun eerste album ‘Revelator’ (2011) kregen ze meteen een Grammy Award en de opvolger ‘Made Up Mind’ (2013) is zo mogelijk nog beter.
De stem van Tedeschi is helder met een lekker rauw Bonnie Raitt-achtig randje, de slide-gitaarsolo’s van Trucks zijn van een bijna buitenaards niveau. Niet voor niets was hij vijftien jaar lang gitarist bij de legendarische Allman Brothers Band, vroeg Eric Clapton hem als bandlid voor een twee jaar durende wereldtour én gaf Rolling Stone magazine hem plekje 16 in de lijst van 100 beste gitaristen allertijden. Dit is blues, rock en soul zoals het bedoeld is!
