Per ongeluk vernoemd naar de slechteriken in de film ‘The Goonies’- eigenlijk vernoemd naar de meisjesnaam van basgitarist Barry zijn moeder: The Fratellis. Na de enorme hit 'Chelsea Dagger' uit 2006 op hun debuutalbum is de band niet onopgemerkt verder gegaan met het uitbrengen van albums. In 2015 brachten de Schotten hun vierde album alweer uit, ‘Eyes Wide, Tongue Tied’. Met deze plaat bewijst de band dat ze nog steeds zo swingend en hard zijn als hun voorgaande albums. Catchy rock ’n roll waarbij men niks anders kan doen dan meespringen en –zingen.
